Toddler Negotiations

< facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmail

You might not know it when you look at them. But toddlers live in a complex world: one that has its own rules of conduct, agendas, negotiations, and consequences. Gia and Tanish have a standing weekly playdate. I’ve stated in the past that I have a girlie girl. Well here’s a “boys will be boys” kinda guy. We (the moms) are constantly astounded at how these two interact with each other.

Usually when I get home and tell Daddy these stories, he does not believe me! My friend Tanu captured these tense moments. :)  See how another day at the park turns out to be a battle of toddler wits.

Innocent enough.

Now you KNOW this kid is upto no good

He plots “Look Gia, look over there”

Gia: “Where? Did me you mean there?”  Tanish tries to sneak in a little kiss when she isn’t looking

Gia : He tired to kiss me..waaahh
Tanish : It wasn’t me! I have no clue what she’s talking about.

Walking away

Ok, ok. Let’s be friends. How bout a handshake?

Gia ran away as fast as she could

After a lengthy discussion, they agreed to be friends again with a “No Kissing” clause in place of course :)

Well Daddy! Now I got proof.
