Fall Once More

< facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmail

The Fall drags in some nasty things like the COLD and the fog but it also brings some of my favorite things like the beautiful fall colors, boots and Salmon! Every year the spawning salmon begin their remarkable journey from the ocean to their birthplace in the rivers and streams of Puget Sound. They return home to spawn and die to begin an amazing new lifecycle.

So I fall in love once more, as I walk in my boots, by the stream in which the Salmon swim and breathe the wood smoked air. I watch the leaves twirl and fall softly to the ground while the wistful and deceptively cold October sun shines to make me glad to be alive.

Could make a poet out of anyone, eh? Hope you’re getting out and enjoying some of this.

Look over there.

Can you spot the Salmon?

Almost there.

  1. Lovely photos! Fall is a beautiful season and i love all the colourful leaves. I love it when there is a slight “crispness” in the air, and the delicious apples. BUT I hate being reminded that winter is coming (I’m from FLorida and never really got used to the cold).

    • I hear ya, there is that dread in the air about the approaching cold but I still love Fall. Glad you liked the photos :)

  2. Yum salmon! I love fall (autumn right?) weather is cooling down here also and I’m excited because I’m not a fan of summer! Enjoy the gorgeous weather :-)

    • Yes it is Autumn. Delhi would be getting better right. The heat can get pretty oppressive there. I bet you’re looking forward to the festive season in India now.
