A Short (Sarcastic) Story

Once upon a time, there was one bunny and one blankie and they meant the world to a little princess.

Bunny and Blankie were best friends, they looked out for each other and they were usually found hangin out near the baby princess.

At first there were…

One day Mommy and Daddy decided to take the princess on an adventure to a land far far away, only they left Bunny and Blankie behind.

This was a really big Uh-oh moment. Princess cried and cried big sad tears. She missed her blankie and bunny so much! So Mommy and Daddy went out and bought her a new Bunny and Blankie. (Only this time it was Sheep and a Blankie, and they cost more than twice as much in Dubai)

At this point Mommy and Daddy naively figured:

More cuddly figures in life = Less tantrums

And then there were…

Unfortunately, mommy and daddy did not realize that the Sheep, the Bunny and the Blankie”s” formed a posse. A little clique that liked to play an unfunny and infuriating game. They called it “Hide and Mommy go seek”

The Bad Bad Bunny!

With the Bad Bunny as the leader of their gang, the clique is getting really good at “disappearing” at naptimes, or bedtimes, or even dinner times.

Thanks to the clique and the fact that the princess only wants whichever member of the posse is currently underground, this is what my days look like!

  1. HA! Thank god only one of my kids had a favorite toy that he loved, and he never lost it. He’s almost 14 and he still has it. Puppy is gross, but he just loves him so much <3

    • We didn’t lose him per se, we just left him behind..So now there are more of them, and they definitely rule a big part of our lives :0

  3. ahahahahahh!! Super-awesome!! I suggest a timeout for Bad Bunny by keeping him at the top of the cupboard all day so he can’t spread any more mischief!! :P

  5. Haha! I can relate. My little one has what I call his ‘entourage’ – the dog, the elephant and I bought a backup, the bunny. We took all 3 on vacation recently, and elephant disappeared on the first day. Oops.

Fortunately, he’s too young to realize it’s missing. He knows that he has two, which is what he’s always had. Thank goodness for the backup. :)

    • I know! But backup is a good thing and a bad thing. It goes either way once they get older and recognize that each and every one of those toys is “special”

  6. Bad bunny! Super cute post – and the pie chart topped it off just nicely. :)

  7. HA. We have that same exact story here, except it’s with trucks and bears and airplanes. But other than that? Totally the same. The things that it’s hard to have these babies of ours forget is unreal. Oh except when it comes to the “clean up” and “where did YOU leave it” rules. Then, they can’t remember. Thank goodness for moms.

    • Thank goodness for moms is right Kristi. The only rules that they “seem to understand” are the ones they like. Thanks for stopping by.

  8. Haha! Yes! Kids never w ant their lovies unless it’s hiding somewhere that takes 2 hours to find. It’s so funny how they know exactly what to do when they it is really inconvenient.

    • Sometimes I think she just does it cause she thinks mom is cruising on her “being a mom” job. lol
